Hiatus

I am taking a hiatus from my blog. I haven't been real regular about keeping up with it and I don't think it is fair to all of those who read it.

If you would like to keep in touch with me, please leave me a message. I am on Facebook and would love to have my blogger friends keep in touch with me there!

I am keeping my blogger account and will probably post again at some point, but not very often--we'll see. I plan to use what time I did spend blogging to read other blogs--something I haven't done in forever!!!

First Step

We made a first step on Friday--no, DD's not walking at 3 1/2 months. She spent the night with her grandparents. DH and I went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for the night to celebrate our wedding anniversary (and get some sleep!).

Our little angel, who has been waking up multiple times through the night (sometimes as early as 9AM) slept almost the entire night through. Let's hope this trend continues tonight!!!!

What a Week!

What a week!!!

Monday--DH woke up at 4:30 AM thinking he is having a heart attack. Once he is up stirring around, he feels better and goes back to bed (without telling me--I'm still sleeping near DD). Has another attack right before leaving for work and another about 1 mile from our house. He returned home and called the doctor. He called his mom to watch DD while I took him to the doctor. If you read my blog last year, it was about this time that he had a meningitis scare. His heart test at the doctor came out fine and he was diagnosed with anxiety & lack of sleep. Last week he found out that he may be losing his job in 2010 due to outsourcing. Never fear--he's already working on a backup plan. Now he is on 10 days of Xanax and no caffeine. Got him back home at 12:30 PM. I had an doctor's appointment at 1:15 PM. I've spent the day in the doctor's office!!!!

Tuesday--Dentist appointment. No cavities!!! DD is still not sleeping well at all. She is having major problems with gas (and I think she is begining to teethe). She is down for maybe 2 hours before waking up. DH's new meds knock him out, so we aren't sharing night duties anymore.

Wednesday--My parents visit. Whew!!!!

Thursday--DD and I went to Weight Watchers. I have a long way to go!! :(

Friday--DD and I went to a children's consignment sale at a local church. I got some really good things at good prices.

Saturday--DD slept for 7 hours in a row!!! Now if only we could get her to sleep better the 2nd half of the night. Went to sleep around 7:30, was up from 2:30-3:30, then up for good at 6. Our family of four (me, DH, DD and Trixie Lulu) went to visit my parents. Some of my mom & dad's first cousins came by to meet DD for the first time.

Wedding Pictures

I'm following Kelly's blog (but I am a day late) on posting wedding dress pictures. These were made almost 9 years ago. What you don't see is a huge bruise I had on my arm that I got at work. It was horrible looking--thank goodness for makeup.

I got my dress at David's Bridal. My aunt made the veil.

Goal

I am so ashamed. DD is a little over 3 months now (almost 3 1/2) and I have yet to lose any baby weight. Why might you ask? Well it's due to me eating junk and not exercising. So, I am going to start going to Weight Watchers and track my loss on here.

Due to my vanity, I am not going to post my weight, but will post the loss/gain after each weigh in. My main goal is rather high, so I am just going to focus on 10lbs at a time.

Happy 3 Month Birthday!

DD is 3 months old today. We are guessing that she is 14-15 lbs based on us holding her while we are on the scale, then putting her down and weighing again.

She is in 6 month clothing and a size 2 diaper. She gives lots of smiles and laughs. Her favorite things to do are sit in the bouncer and make the music play (especially when Mama dances) or lay on her mat and play with the butterfly/make the music play.
